BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 qualifying matches have ended, and we finally know which teams will be competing for the prize pool of $1,250,000 during the Main Stage of the last CS:GO Major in May. Let’s start with the RMR Europe B, which began on April 11 and ended on April 15. Sixteen teams competed for the ultimate prize, tickets to the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.
At the end of the tournament, three teams earned Legend Status, while five teams secured Challenger Status. The teams that placed 9th-11th moved on to the RMR Decider. The teams that placed 12th-16th have been eliminated from the tournament.
Let’s take a look at the teams that advanced to the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 with Legend Status: 9INE, Heroic, and Team Vitality.
9INE: Overview & Highlights
The first team to earn Legend Status in the RMR Europe B was 9INE. They played three matches and won each one. Their opponents were G2, BIG, and Vitality.
9INE vs G2
Their first match was a Bo1 against G2, and it took place on Nuke. In the first half of the map, 9INE won 10 rounds while playing as CT. After switching sides, the team confidently secured victory in six more rounds. The final score was 16-14 in favor of the Polish team.

The second opponent for 9INE was BIG. They played on Mirage. This match was intense. Both teams played evenly and won 15 rounds each. However, the Polish team won overtime rounds and clinched the victory with a 19:15 score.

In their third match, 9INE played a Bo3 series against Team Vitality. Players picked Vertigo, Anubis, and Nuke was left as a decider map. 9INE won Vertigo and Anubis, so we didn’t get to see the third map.
On the first map, the Polish team defeated Vitality with a 16:11 score.

Heroic: Overview & Highlights
Heroic was the second team to secure a ticket to the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Legends Stage in RMR Europe B. Their first opponent was 500, followed by Aurora Gaming, and finally, they faced off against Monte. Heroic emerged victorious with a 3-0 score.

The teams played a Best-of-1 match on Inferno. The first half of the game was played almost equally, with Heroic taking the lead by a small margin of 8:7. In the second half, playing as Terrorists, the Danish team won the map with a 16:8 score.

Heroic vs Aurora Gaming
Aurora Gaming was the second opponent Heroic faced on their RMR run, and they fought on Mirage. The first half ended with a 10:5 score in favor of Heroic. In the second half, the Danish team won only six rounds. The second half ended with a 6:9 score, and the overall score was 16:14 in favor of Heroic.

Heroic vs Monte
In the third match, the teams played a best-of-three series. Players picked Mirage, Overpass, and Nuke. Heroic won Mirage and Overpass.
On the first map, Heroic played as CT and successfully won 12 out of 15 rounds. After switching sides, they had an easier time securing the victory with a big lead, which they did. The second half of the map ended with a 4:9 score, and the final score was 16:12 in favor of Heroic.

The next map was Overpass. Heroic won the first half with a score of 9:6. The second half was close, but Monte gained an advantage with a score of 7:8. The final score was 16:14 in favor of Heroic.

Team Vitality: Overview & Highlights
Team Vitality is the third team to qualify for Legend Status at the BLAST.tv Paris Major. They played four matches against Astralis, Ninjas in Pyjamas, 9INE, and BIG. The team managed to win three games out of four and secured a place in the last CS:GO Major with a 3:1 score.
Team Vitality vs Astralis
The first opponent for the French team was Astralis, and they played on Vertigo. Playing the first half as CT, Vitality won 10 rounds. In the second half, playing as T-side, they finished with a 6:9 score. The final score was 16:14.

Team Vitality vs Ninjas in Pyjamas
Vitality’s second opponent was Ninjas in Pyjamas. The teams played on Vertigo. In the first half, the French team won with a 9:6 score on the CT-side. The second half was more even, but their previous lead in rounds proved decisive. Vitality won with a 16:13 score and advanced to the next stage.

Team Vitality vs 9INE

Team Vitality vs BIG
To qualify for the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, Vitality needed to win a Bo3 series against BIG. The teams chose their maps: BIG picked Mirage, Vitality picked Nuke, and Overpass was the decisive map.
BIG won the first map with a 16:10 score, which was unsurprising. However, Vitality turned things around on their signature map and beat with a 16:9 score, tying the overall score at 1:1.
On the deciding map, Vitality took the lead in the first half. They won 11 rounds and ended the first half with an 11:4 score. Although the second half was tougher, Vitality secured the victory with a score of 16:7.

BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 American RMR
Only sixteen teams were competing in the American region, and fewer prize places were available. As a result, only one team was able to achieve the Legend Status, while four teams were able to secure the Contender Status.
FURIA Esports: Overview & Highlights
FURIA is the only team from the American RMR to qualify for the Legend Status. They played three matches and won each, securing their place in the tournament.
FURIA vs TeamOne
FURIA won their Best-of-1 match against TeamOne on Ancient with a 16:6 score, leaving almost no chances for their opponents.

FURIA vs Evil Geniuses
FURIA faced Evil Geniuses on Mirage, winning 16:13. The first half was even, with FURIA leading 8:7, but the Brazilian players dominated the second half to secure the win.

FURIA vs Liquid
The teams played a Bo3 series and picked the following maps: Nuke, Inferno, and Mirage.
Liquid chose Nuke, and they beat the Brazilians with a score of 19:16. In the overtime rounds, Liquid emerged victorious.

Unfortunately, all other teams cannot participate in the BLAST.tv Paris Major. Therefore, we wish them success in different future tournaments.
BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 European RMR Decider
The European RMR Decider is a last-chance tournament for teams that placed 9th-11th in the RMR Europe Groups A and B. Six teams competed for the last spot in the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023. These teams were FaZe Clan, Cloud9, Team Falcons, BIG, B8, and Aurora Gaming. To win, a team needed to win 2 out of 3 maps.
FaZe Clan defeated all their opponents and earned a ticket to the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.
