BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 RMR Tournament - Hellcase Blog

First for France, first for BLAST, and last for CS:GO, the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 RMR will be held in May, boasting a $1,250,000 prize pool sixteen best teams will compete for. But before the year’s main event kicks off, participants need to be determined.

Here, we will overview the format of the Paris Major RMR events, find out which teams will attend them, and where to watch all matches.

What is RMR?

The Regional Major Rankings, or RMR, function as the qualifying system for CS:GO Major Championships, beginning with ESL One: Rio 2020. They are divided into three regions: Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas.

They emerged during the online era brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, serving as an alternative to the CS:GO Minor Championships. These qualifiers do not have a monetary prize pool and only determine if participants get a spot at a Major event and the stage they will start from: Legends Stage or Challengers Stage.

BLAST.tv Paris Major Europe RMR Qualifiers Overview

A total of fifty-six teams will fight for spots at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 from April 6th to April 15th, and only sixteen best line-ups will qualify for the event that will go down in history as the last CS:GO Major ever. Yep, you read it right, the next Major event will occur after Counter-Strike 2 launches, so this is the last one.
